📌Pray before you go into a relationship. Pray o. And be sure God is the one leading you not something else. If it is not ordained by God, it can’t be sustained by God. #Selah
📌Don’t just pray, prepare for it. Your readiness is important too. Don’t go into a relationship when you’re not ready for it. Take your time, wait on God and prepare while you wait.
📌Open your eyes and watch. However, the most important factor to consider is God. Others can follow. Without God, it does not matter how beautiful your relationship seem to appear, the end is regrets.
📌Success is not automatic. You can’t drive a parked car. You need to ignite it first. Be willing to make your relationship work. The more you work on your relationship is the more you enjoy it.
📌Have a spiritual authority you both submit to and make sure you’re always in touch with them. It makes your journey quite smooth. Unnecessary mistakes will be avoided. In the multitude of counsels, there is safety.
📌Your partner may not be the best man/woman in the world, but he/she is the best vessel in God’s agenda for your marital destiny. God does not make mistakes. He makes miracles.
📌Commitment is more important than feelings. Feelings are important but they can be fleeting. Commitment on both sides will keep you going. You’re committed to each other. You’re here stay and build.
📌Determine to grow together. Read good books together. Study the scripture together. Pray together. Help each other in fulfiling your God given purpose. Be a blessing to the body of Christ.
📌Comparing your relationship or partner with that of your friends may hurt you. Stay on your journey. Water your garden. Appreciate what God has given you. Whatever you don’t appreciate depreciates.
📌Focus on each other’s strengths, not your weaknesses. What you focus on becomes stronger in your heart. Albeit, both parties should be willing to adjust where necessary. Be open to corrections and have a teachable heart.
📌Disagreements are inevitable in every relationship but disagreeing every time will only make your relationship unhealthy. And it may ruin your relationship eventually. Avoid it as much as you can. Become best of friends.
📌You will be tempted to kiss, romance and have sex but do not yield to it. Don’t open the door of your eventual marriage to the devil. Choose to obey God by keeping your bed undefiled.
