What you feel at first sight for a person is an attraction, not love. Most times, we confuse attraction for love. You can’t love a stranger the moment you meet them. You can only be attracted to them by their beauty, character, intelligence or charisma.
Intelligence is a strong attraction for me, even if I met you one minute ago. Once I see a sign of intelligence in you, I’m attracted to you. Does that mean I’m in love with you? I definitely can’t tell at an instant. Attraction doesn’t take time, sometimes, love does.
Do not conclude that you’re in love with the guy/lady you met one minute ago. Get to know them beyond the first meeting. Relate again and again. There is no such thing called love at first sight but there can be attraction at first sight. Love isn’t a joke. It’s a potent weapon. So beautiful.
God is love and He has loved you with an everlasting love. Very powerful! When you meet a person and you can no longer sleep at night, take sometime to know if the Lord has planted the seed of his/her in your heart and or what you’re feeling is just an attraction.
Attraction alone isn’t enough to start a relationship. God has to be in it. #selah Your passion for that person must be genuine. Beauty can be deceitful. Attraction is easy to find with all the makeup packaging and charisma in this age and time. So it’s possible to be attracted to quite a number of guys/ladies.
Beyond what your eyes can see, your heart must be instructed by God. Your love must be deeply rooted in 1 Corinthians 13:4-7, not an infatuation. Attraction can be your point of connection but it’s important to have a revelation of God’s will before you make a decision.
